You’ll be amazed by the extraordinary skill and determination of battle that will be on show in the electrifying performances of the Battle of Bannockburn. Catch one of three performances taking place on the battlefield each day when hundreds of re-enactors from across Europe join forces and collide. The display will be choreographed by Clanranald, who are famous for their work on Hollywood blockbusters Gladiator, Robin Hood and Thor II.

The battle performances are included in the price of your festival ticket and will take place at noon, 2pm and 4pm on each day.

Check out the running order of the battle performances.

Throughout the weekend you can experience life in 14th century Scotland at the interactive medieval encampments. Relive the sights and sounds of the time - the clang from a blacksmith’s forging hammer and anvil, aromas of fresh kiln-fired bread, the roar of a battle commander ordering his troops. See over 300 living historians as they prepare for battle - you’ll witness everything, from soldiers equipping themselves in the armoury to uncovering the battle strategies of Robert the Bruce and Edward II.

This area of the festival will fascinate both old and young alike and there are great activities to get involved with, including a tug o’war and other thrilling games suitable for children.
